My name is Dennis Walters, aka Walt. I am your High School rep, one of your State council reps, an on the APLE Executive Board. I have been in the district for over 35 years teaching Industrial Arts / Voc Ed (Career Tech Ed, CTE). I have been involved with APLE for over 8 years. I started out as a rep and then became more involved serving as several positions on your EBoard. I am connected with several Voc Ed / CTE organizations in the state and have been the Caucus Chair for the National Education Associations Voc Ed / CTE Caucus. We meet at the RA yearly and have worked on issues regarding our students’ needs for Career Readiness, be it with whatever post-secondary education they would need to be successful in the future. I have worked with others to get the Graduation Requirements changed to include CTE as an alternative course accepted for students wishing to go to community college, technical school, the military or work right out of High School.I look forward to serving all our members and student in the future years.
